Electricity consumption is the major part of household expenses, so here are the 5 tips to conserve electricity.

#1; BRING DOWN THE CONSUMPTION OF LIGHTS

Switching on the light without purpose can cost high. Always make sure that the bathroom lights are switched off after the use. Usage of 50w bulb for more than 20 hours can add 1 unit of electricity to the whole. Never switch on the lights for non-essential purposes and let the consumption get higher. The very important precaution is that, switch on all the lights during the night while going for sleep, so that you can conserve the electricity.

#2; REDUCE THE AC NUMBER UNIT

AC consumes the optimum energy at 26°c. After that, for each degree, you may consume 3% to 5% of energy. For better usage, instead of setting into high cool, switch into medium cool. The remedy for less consumption of energy by AC is, switch it off before 30-60 minutes leaving the room as the room remains cools after leaving it off. Switch on the fans after Ac turned off, fans can circulate the cool air that already exists in the room and also fan consumes only less energy.

#3; MAKE LESS USE OF WATER HEATER

Geyser and water heater can consume high electrical energy. They consume 4000W at a time. When geyser is turned on, the electricity consumption will be very immense. All we have to do is less the usage of the water heater during the summer season and conserve energy. Always turn down the temperature and switch off the heater after using it.
